Use of Personal Information

  • Personal information submitted in the process of making a purchase through the Designs in Mind website is only that required to process payments, and for staff at Designs in Mind to be able to successfully deliver our service to customers, including dispatching purchased items and contacting customers where necessary, as well as for fulfilling accounting requirements.

  • Credit/Debit card transaction details go to SumUp, our online payment-processor, to be processed.  Authorised staff at Designs in Mind can log-in to the SumUp account, and within this see amount paid or refunded, date/time of transaction, the last 4 digits of card used, card-type and a transaction code.  The name of the cardholder cannot be seen.   You can see the privacy policy of SumUp at sumup.co.uk/privacy/.

  • Order details (not payment-card details), are stored at wix.com (website platform), but the information stored there is not immediately accessible to staff at Designs in Mind, and can only be accessed by authorised staff, on request to wix.com.   Customer transaction data stored at wix.com will be erased by Designs in Mind 6 years after the end of the financial year when the transaction took place.

  • Parcel2Go is the company used by Designs in Mind to deliver our products to customers.   They hold the following data (viewable by authorised staff at Designs in Mind) - transaction ref, recipient name, delivery/return address, item-type and delivery date/tracking.   You can see the privacy policy of Parcel2Go at parcel2go.com/content/privacy-policy.aspx.​​

  • Requests to see a copy of the information that Designs in Mind might hold about you can be made to the Co-CEO Ruth Thomas at Designs in Mind CIC, 17a Cross Street, Oswestry, Shropshire SY11 2NF, or by email to ruth@designsinmind.co.uk.   You can also request rectification or erasure of personal data, however this is not always possible to fulfill as some data is legally required to be kept for over 6 years for accounting purposes.   For access, rectification or erasure requests, you may be asked for supporting information to help confirm your identity.
