World Mental Health Day 2016

We’ve done it!

We have been on ‘Our Adventures’, challenged ourselves, done something different, had fun, organised time together, laughed a lot, raised a lot of money and got people talking about mental health.

When we got back to the studio yesterday we realised that the one thing to unify us all, when we were out on ‘Our Adventures,’ was cake. Cake featured quite highly in keeping everybody motivated.

This is what we achieved on World Mental Health Day 2016:

  • 6 Wild women take on 4 lakes under the watchful eye of Snowdon

  • 1 woman 100mph over Snowdon on the fastest in the world, longest in Europe zip wire

  • 2 Chatterboxes 1 day total silence

  • 1 tackles an Ottoman to bring it back to life

  • 8 Wild women walking till they can walk no more round Oswestry Racecourse

  • 2 non swimmers, take on the challenge and learn to swim

  • 1 woman, 3 hrs treadmill challenge

  • 6 take on the Charity Shop Challenge to make an eclectic chandelier

  • 3 Walk up high for a 360 view at the top of Rodney’s Pillar- and wave to all the other adventurers

And so far we have raised…
£2,470.00
THANK YOU

It is going up all the time, and if you were waiting for the evidence hopefully now we have inspired you and you will donate now…

We want to say thank you to lot's of people who helped make 'Our Adventures' a success...

  • Gabby, Nic and Kay from Gone Swimming for making the wild swimming a real adventure, a huge success and looking after us all.

  • Evolution Oswestry for supporting the treadmill challenge

  • All the charity shops in Oswestry who donated materials for the Ecelctic Chandlier

  • Shades Window Blinds for donating fabric for the ottoman challenge

  • Val, for teaching Sylvia and Lyn to swim

October the 10th 2016 was World Mental Health Day
